Meet Erin Kramer
Erin Kramer has lived in Toledo for most of her life. She grew up in south Toledo, not far from where she raised her three kids. Erin was raised in a union household where the importance of both service and hard work were emphasized regularly. Erin’s dad, Gary Cullum, is a distinguished Army veteran who fought bravely in the Vietnam War.
Mom
Erin’s most important job is mom to her three kids. Erin is committed to making Toledo a safe place for all Toledoans to raise a family. Erin moved back to Toledo in 2008 to raise her children in the same great city where she grew up. Affordable housing, abundant community attractions, and a low cost of living as well as family in the city made Toledo a great place for Erin to raise her young family. She wants to ensure other families want to stay in Toledo or relocate here for all of the notable amenities of living here in northwest Ohio.
Educator
Erin has worked in higher education throughout the region since 2003. She has taught classes at Owens Community College, the University of Toledo, and Lourdes University in addition to the Toledo Correctional Institute. Erin is currently the director of Admissions at Owens Community College. She works with students from around northwest Ohio who are seeking high-quality, affordable education that will transform their lives. Erin believes in the power of education to change lives and is dedicated to creating opportunities that empower individuals to reach their full potential.
Community Activist
A top priority for Erin is decreasing the rampant gun violence in the city. Erin has been active in the gun violence prevention movement in the city since 2017. She is a local lead for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America in which she works with a dedicated group of volunteers from around the region to encourage the safe storage of guns as well as legislation to keep Ohioans safe from illegally obtained guns. She has lobbied legislators in Columbus and helped plan events in Toledo while also supporting community partners who are committed to the same goals of gun safety.
In addition to gun violence prevention, Erin is also passionate about neighborhood improvement, clean water, economic development, and LGBTQ rights. Erin is a hard worker who will work tirelessly for the people of Toledo.
